BETATEC is an initiative of the German-Israeli Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Israel), to create a binational, bilateral platform concentrating on the information and communication industries and startups, on innovation management and entrepreneurship in Israel and Germany.
In forming BETATEC, AHK Israel aims to enhance and further develop the collaboration between Israel and Germany in this field. BETATECs objective is to support both governments in creating initiatives and policies to deepen the bi-lateral economic relations. Its goal is to foster exchange between the German and the Israeli startup-communities, connect the German Mittelstand with Israeli startups, facilitate the availability of venture capital and explore ways to further develop international markets for the hi-tech industries of both countries.
The mission of BETATEC is to enhance and further develop the collaboration between the two countries in the ICT fields, and maximize the economic and social value derived from such cooperation.
BETATEC has signed cooperation agreements with the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and the German Association for Digital Economy, but is open for collaboration with everyone.
Furthermore, BETATEC is part of the program “New Kibbutz” which helps German students in finding internships in Israeli hi-tech and startup companies.
